My fiance and I have been planning to go to St. Lucia for our honeymoon, but we hadn’t got airfare yet, and it’s looking like tickets will be $900 pp, which isn’t much less than the resort!! So we are thinking about doing the bahamas since airfare is about $500 pp there. Is it a good place for a honeymoon? Is there alot to do outdoors? What are good private places to stay… with cabins, separate lodging etc?

I went to the Bahamas a few years ago (not for honeymoon). Stay at Atlantis – they have a website – it is gorgeous – a lot to do. Be careful if you travel outside of the resort area – locals will follow you around begging for money – gets a little creepy. Another idea you might want to check out is Club Med (it’s all inclusive)- they have a resort in Florida – so I’m sure airfare would be reasonable. And then maybe head down to Key West for a few days. Whatever you decide – have fun
