I assume you mean in Tahoe.

I would stay in Truckee. It’s an adorable little town with great restaurants and shops (a.k.a. nightlife).

When I learned to ski (age ~8) I went to Donner Ski Ranch. Nothing much for pros there, only bunny hills and beginner trails.

Heavenley [in tahoe] is great but very expensive. some other great resorts in tahoe are serria at tahoe and mt rose.

Heavenly, Tahoe
It’s were I learnt to ski. We stay at Lake Tahoe in the Embassy Suites. There’s a drive to the ski slopes but it’s worth it
As for your young child, first went there when i was about four! It’s really good, the ski school is brilliant for young beginners

Shasta is a nice quiet little resort. Good for beginners but not a full service place. there is no lodging at the resort and the town dies down quick at night.

If you are looking for easy one stop, everything in one place and money is no object Squaw Valley – Tahoe has it all – For a price. The village is huge for Tahoe and has restaurants and clubs galore. It’s a little yuppie and the prices are crazy – but it has it all. I’m not a big fan of the mountain thought.

Northstar at Tahoe is a mini Squaw and for beginners is the best family place for the buck. They are expanding the village and have a more more moderate terrain for beginners than Squaw. The accommodations are pricey but it is also full service – OK night life too.

best bets would be Excalibur and Wild Wild West. i would recommend checking out http://www.discounthotel-s.info. the site is an aggregator affiliated with hotels. com which means it searches other sites and presents you with the best deals available. good luck and i hope this helps!

Excaliber is nice for the price. I stayed there 2 years in a row for a week. They also have a Tournament of Kings show at Excaliber where you get dinner for like $70. Pretty nice

Rooms have been reduced to the lowest they’ve been in years because of gas prices. You can get rooms for $29 downtown, and often for $40-$45 on the strip.
- With rates this low, stay in a nice place and enjoy the room. You won’t stay in a hotel room in any major American city for the price.

Go off the strip. Fremont street is a good idea. Book Sunday to Thursday. That will save a lot of money. I liked Terribles. I also liked most of Fremont Street. Avoid the Nevada hotel See Yahoo travel-Las Vegas hotel ratings for the reason why.
You can also try state line and Reno for alternatives.
Book in advance.

I always tell people to stay downtown at freemont street. The prices are good, and the entertainment it great. Plus, it is close enough to the strip to take a short bus ride or taxi.

Actually my aunt and uncle just got back from LV 4 weeks ago. They had mentioned something to me at a graduation party that they did something similar to what Nick M mentioned. Said other than the sales presentation they got basically a Free stay.

I guess others have caught on and are finding Honest, Real ways to travel for next to nothing. Pretty Cool.

If you want to go cheap, do I have an idea for you! I came across an ad which advertised “free vacations”. Upon further inspection I find that there is a resort in Vegas that is offering a FREE weekend if you take a tour of their property and listen to a short sales presentation. The cheapest hotels are in Downown Vegas. I stayed at the Plaza Hotel in front of the fremont street experience and had a wonderful time. Drinks, buffets, souvenirs are all cheaper in downtown. A $ 5 bus ticket to the strip lasts 24 hours so you can go back and forth anytime you want. Good Luck.

I would book directly with a hotel on the Las Vegas strip in addition with a promotion code. MGM, Luxor and Excalibur e.g. have some good promotion codes in order to save money. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com for the latest codes.

You can stay at a time-share a block from The Strip called The Carriage House. The rates are cheap, and most of the casinos are only a walking distance from there. You can find rooms with a kitchenette there as well.

You bet I would be upset big time. One thing to remember while you are trying to figure this out is this: You can love him, but if you can’t trust him or respect him, it won’t work, get out. When a man cheats once he won’t stop that behavior. At least I have found that to be true. So clever of him to leave the phone don’t you think. You don’t deserve to be treated this way and you don’t deserve to have your nerves raw and feeling lost. Get out and find a man who will appreciate you for the lady you are. See if your state allows a do it your self divorce, costs under a hundred bucks after you buy the book for around $25 bucks. That is what I did in Northern Michigan.

You should have told him before he left. It’s kind of too late now to attack him for something he cant change. He can’t decide now to stay home and not go on the vacation. Are the other couples friends of yours? Would you trust them to be honest with you? Seriously though, I wouldn’t go on a cruise alone or with other couples and be the oddman out the whole time. And he missed 2 boats??? Sounds fishy to me. He should be spending his time sitting right next to you and trying to figure out how to earn back your trust. He should be on his best behavior and give you NO reason to doubt him. Otherwise, he doesnt care about what he did to you. Or he knows you wont leave him. Good luck!

For example an inclusive resort in DR.
Local brand name: Presidente, Bohemia, Brahma, Brugal, Barcelo, Bermudez, (Coke and Pepsi because are made they are is an international trademarks) Dasani etc.
International Brand name: Miller, Budweiser, Heineken, corona, Bacardi, Tanqueray, Absoulut, Gatorade, V8 etc

I’d have a huge problem with this if this ever happened to me. First of all, it would have never taken place to begin with! Just think of it: you stated that he had an affair 4 months ago, he went on a vacation to a very secluded place with 2 other couples, he left his cell phone with you, he missed two boats in one day. Ummm I’m sorry to say, but the chick that he had an affair with 4 months ago was there on vacation with him.

How do you react towards him when he comes home? Girl, I wouldn’t be there when he gets home. My bags would be packed and I would be out of there.

He’s still cheating on you. It’s written on the wall in bold letters. But when you care about a person, when you want to make the marriage work out so bad you can’t see those letters on the wall.

I was in a similar situation with my 2nd husband. I handled it all wrong. I confronted him when he walked through the door and kept screaming at him, asking him how the sex was with the chick he was with. That didn’t get me anyplace, only high blood pressure. So don’t do what I did!!!

Leave the s.o.b. He’s still cheating on you and will continue to cheat.
