Do you feel happy that you just paid for an all inclusive executive vacation? ?

17 Jul

AIG executives just spent $440,000 for weekend get away.

“Less than a week after the federal government committed $85 billion to bail out AIG, executives of the giant AIG insurance company headed for a week-long retreat at a luxury resort and spa, the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California.”

Do you think you will be able to afford a vacation this year, or are you planning a ’stay-cation’ at home?

    Are you effing kidding me?

Not only should they not be taking vacations right now, someone should be in jail.

440,000 for one weekend? Wow, that would pay off my house, student loan and then some. These people need to be brought to justice.

Actually, the feds just gave AIG another 37.5 billion today. I think what needs to be done is that CEOs need to be mandated to go back on salary and that their salaries be voted on by stockholders. No more contracts, buyouts, stock options or retirement parachutes.

Now they’re asking for more. Can you believe the audacity? Hell, I could have a great vacation on half of what they spent and it would last a year!

No I’m not happy at all – I think they should go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200!

Bummer is, this is only a start of our $700 billion being flushed down the toilet.

To add insult to injury, they are getting $37 billion more, in addition to what they’ve already received.

    They should be incarcerated.

    This is absolutely ridiculous.
Does anyone remember Enron, Worldcom and the other companies found to be “cooking the books” a few years ago? The press made the people that ran these companies look like Satan himself. Where’s the press with the current batch of thieves?
The guys that ran Enron and such were perp walked out of the mansions and offices in hand cuffs, and then prosecuted. Does the current batch of crooks not deserve the same treatment?
Look at how the press treated Martha Stewart. All she did was get some inside tips and the press made it look like she was Beelzebub reincarnate. She didn’t squander anyone’s life savings by selling a little early. But she was perp walked in cuffs too.
Where’s the congressional leaders that were so up in arms over the Enrons and Worldcoms? Congress was demanding hearings and investigations into these companies. Where’s congress at now?
The current felons have stolen middle class workers savings and retirement plans. But no one is screaming for indictments for these felons.
It’s an absolute travesty of justice.
