- I’m going to The Crane resort in Barbados for my honeymoon in July, any suggestions for stuff to do?
- I’m going to the Bahamas in april and staying at the Atlantis resort. How expensive is food at the resort?
- For your honeymoon, would you prefer a quiet getaway for 2, or going to a big resort or known honeymoon spot?
- Is anyone going to be in the Bahamas the 17-21 at the Atlantis resort.?
My fiance & I are thinking of going to the Bahamas for our honeymoon, doesn’t any one recommend a resort?

I stayed at Sandals and had a BLAST! Make sure you stay in the larger building facing the ocean.

I would recommend a resort outside of the Bahamas. Freeport and Nassau are both sh*tholes. If you must go the Bahamas, I suppose that new resort would be the best. I believe it’s called Atlantis.

How about a cruise going to several spots in the Bahamas.

Check out the websites for “Sandals”…they have numerous resorts that are adult only, and some are all inclusive, some are not. The two of you will have a lot of discussing to do to determine if one of them is the right thing for you…the way to start would be for both of you to make a separate list of things that you want to do on your honeymoon, then compare, and combine to do what appeals to both of you and what you can afford. CONGRATULATIONS!

I enjoyed Sandals because it was all inclusive. If you have the dough, you can do Atlantis.

If your budget will allow this resort, I think this is the best in the Bahamas.

My other suggestion is Turks and Caico. Parrot Cay.
Turks and Caicos use to be part of the Bahamas.
Have a wonderful honeymoon

Sorry to be a downer but Bahamas isn’t really the best place. I would suggest Jamaica or Punta Cana. They have better deals and the areas are a lot nicer. Prices are also more reasonable. Congrats and good luck finding a place.

First of all I would recommend the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort in Nassau. Reason being, this is a couple’s only resort. So that means no kids or other drama that is associated with “FAMILY TRIPS.” It is an all inclusive resort and lots of activities that both parties can partake in “TOGETHER” whether its spa treatments or retreat to the private island…of course its situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Cable Beach. Secondly, I would recommend the Four Seasons Resort, Spa & Casino in Exuma, Bahamas. This is a fairly new hotel but its also a family hotel. Since its situation on one of the outter Family Islands within the Bahamas, there is less hussle and bussle of the city life here and you can enjoy the time of your mate. They have an excellent spa and alot of things to do. I wouldn’t recomment the Atlantis Resort unless you are thinking on going to “One & Only Ocean Club” which is apart of Atlantis and is much more private but much more expensive. Its worth it though when you look @ the quality of service with your personal butler etc, the decor, the private beach, the cuisine, the proximity to the main Atlantis property with all the major attractions e.g.. the Marina, water parks, casino, multiple restaurants, dolphin encounters and STARBUCKS but without the hussle and bussle of hectic family activity e.g. constant crying of spoiled kids and finally the entire atmosphere. Its just a total retreat that is suitiable for honeymooners compared to the main Atlantis resort with the constant traffic of other tourist with their families and kids. Another great private resort is the Bimini Bay Resort and Casino which is also a new resort located on the quaint island of Bimini in the Bahamas that is just 46 miles off the coast of Florida, making access a breeze if you don’t like long flights. It is quiet and unique and colourful. It has a really island feel to it with its cool and relaxing villa style lay out. There are lots of activities like golf, bonefishing or you can rent a golf cart and drive island the island. It is located on another very beautiful beach and its something you would enjoy as honeymooners as there is less activity or bothersome events from family members and kids as its a new resort and it caters to more of an adult population. The resort has very nice spa and it also includes a casio (but you didn’t come to gamble). It Remember this is your honeymoon so compromise is a must. Try to take part in activities that would include the both of you and try not to be too active but enjoy each others. Time I hope you make the right choice and enjoy your honeymoon. Congratulations by the way.
