All Inclusive Honeymoon- Dominican Republic or Jamaica?

Hello, we want to go somewhere decent for our honeymoon. We haven’t had the opportunity to travel much but I was looking at All Inclusives in Jamaica and the DR. Out of the two, which one would you recommend?

Also for the resorts, we are looking at the following:
into Punta Cana (Gran Bahia Principe Ambar Don Pablo Collection (Adults Only), NH Real Arena, or Grand Oasis Punta Cana) or Puerto Plata (Sun Village Resort and Spa)…

We looked at some places in Jamaica such as the Gran Bahia Principe (Runaway Bay, Jamaica), Holiday Inn Sunspree Montego Bay (although this seems more like a family resort), or Riu Ochos Rios (Montego Bay, Jamaica).

Any honest feedback would be appreciated.

PS if you know where we can find a killer deal for an all inclusive for our honeymoon, feel free to recommend that as well. We really want to stay at around $800 per person for 1 week and will be traveling September 13- September 20, 2009.

I’m going to The Crane resort in Barbados for my honeymoon in July, any suggestions for stuff to do?

We’re looking for good, inexpensive places to eat and things to do. All the activities offered by Expedia are outrageously priced. While we’re at it, anyone stayed at The Crane before? Experiences?

Where to go on a Honeymoon. Want to go out if the U.S.?

Getting married Oct. 4th of this year so looking to leave the following monday. Dont want to go to Mexico. We want a all-exclusive hotel, swim up bar, hotel that has activites put on by the hotel, and a nice room. Dont want to go where there is children. Looking to spend less than $4,000 for total 7 day honeymoon. Does anyone have any resorts that you would say ” That place rocked”. Thank you for your time.

Going on honeymoon may 2009!!?

I am getting married May 2009 and we plan on honeymooning directly afterward…We want to honeymoon in Mexico at a resort. I have never been so overwhelmed with all the websites with resort packages!!!! AHHH! Can anyone help me find an easy and people friendly website with good deals and nice places!!! PLEASE!!!

Where would you say is the best place to honeymoon in the Carribean during the month of May?

My fiance and I will be getting married in May and honeymooning in May. We want to go some where tropical with romantic beaches that is secluded but also has nightlife for when we want to leave the resort. We are hoping to do an all-inclusive honeymoon. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Should we cruise for our honeymoon?

We wanted to just get a really nice resort in the Caribbean somewhere. But it seems like the cost is already expensive and all the reviews say that all the restaurants at the resorts are so expensive.

Should we book a 7day cruise? We thought it would end up cheaper since the food is included.
Is it worth it to spend extra for balcony as opposed to ocean view? Or do you not spend a lot of time in the room?

pls feel free to share your experiences and if you went on one for your honeymoon!

Honeymoon help- where should I go (Please suggest a resort/hotel)??

Okay here is the problem/needs:
Short flight distance from the UK
Boutique/luxury hotel
I want more than one cuisine availible (If it were in france i don’t want just french food)
I need loads of activities to do (not just sightseeing e.g. quad biking – don’t need to be offered by the hotel but availible in the surrounding areac)
Pool
Preferably cheap for food, drinks and going out.
And most of all I don’t want a typical Brit destination…i.e. Malta, Greece, Crete etc.

Can anyone think of a great location that fits the bill?

Budget (around £100-150 per night)
Thanks for answers so far. Couple of extra details:
There will be two of us.
Travelling in July.
I don’t want to stay in the UK.
I want luxury not backpacker.
Maximum flight would be four hours.

Where should my fiance and I go on our July honeymoon?

As of right now we are looking for an all inclusive, caribbean location. We are definitely wanting something with a white sandy beach and crystal clear waters where we can just relax and enjoy each other. We have been considering a Sandals resort in Jamaica, but we really need some advice on which resort to pick. Money is not too big of an issue, but we don’t want to go broke as soon as we’re married. Any help and advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

im looking for a resort thats quiet and serene..away from noisy bars….beachfront cottage as i wld love to see the nice view of the sea in the morning..not crowded… my husband is irish and were both excited to visit boracay..weve been to bohol and we loved it there at bohol beach club..
i got some recommendations.. sand castles, fridays, lorenzo south,boracay beach chalets, boracay beach resort, paradise gardens,ysobelle…please help me which is best place for our honeymoon…thank you….

Sandals Jamaica for Honeymoon?

Has anyone done Sandals resorts in Jamaica? We’re looking at Montego Bay, Royal Caribbean, and Negril. We’re also considering the Sandals Bahamas but for the same price as a beach front concierge in Jamaica, you only get a balcony or patio with a garden view.

I’m also wondering what people think about the honeymoon package. The package is $1800 and you get Exclusive private transfer from airport with fruit, champagne and chocolate, Private four-course dinner oceanside for two, Breakfast in bed
Rose petal bath for two, Couples champagne massage Honeymoon photo session*, One Complimentary 5 x 7 honeymoon photograph, Sunset Cruise , Picnic for two on private offshore island, massage lesson.
It seems like on our budget, we can do
(1)Jamaica – a balcony with a garden view and get the honeymoon package
(2)Jamaica – the better room with a walk out oceanfront but no honeymoon package.
(3) Bahamas balcony/patio with garden view, no honeymoon package.

Which seems like a better option?
We’re looking to use frequent flyer miles so we can only go to Jamaica or Bahamas.
